It’s a borderline random update, but I’ve been working on borderline random things this month.

Custom Sprites:
Bucky O’Hare (new gallery): Bucky O’Hare, apparently here to celebrate two holidays at once!
– Marvel Comics: Crystal in classic yellow, FF, and her 90s black and white suit with bomber jacket (as seen in Avengers in Galactic Storm).
Kunio-kun/River City Ransom 8-bit: Scratch-made Link, Zelda, Marvel’s Storm, Black Tiger (Capcom).

Now that I have separate Superhero Sprite Showcase episodes for all the characters I’ve done them for so far, I’m embedding them in their sub-galleries.

Mini-Logos: Bucky O’Hare added to Comics – other and Crystal added to Marvel.

All new custom sprites and mini-logos were added to the PHP-powered GFX Generators where I made the screenshot at the top of this post! The fighting game-scale sprites are in this big graphic maker while the Kunio/RCR stuff is used in this screenshot maker that focuses on 8-bit screens.

I also added four new Bunnysuit Gal sprites with longer hair for a little variety! The have the same extra palette options as the earlier sprites, so you can customize them far more than I did here.

Game Index: Avengers in Galactic Storm: added a page for it that also contains scans of the very early behind-the-scenes article on the game from the 1995 “Captain America Collectors’ Preview” comic. If you didn’t see the post I made about it before, this was from when the game was almost a side-scrolling beat ’em up/fighting game hybrid and had more playable characters. I have more to add to this entry in the future, but I really just wanted to get this update out there for Easter!

The Trick or Beat ‘Em Up project, the horror-themed side-scrolling brawler, is currently taking donations for fund work on the game. One of the goals is to “Immortalize Batsy The Cat” in pixel art that lives on in the game. Please read the plea and give if you can!

This week-long thing wraps up today with two of the biggest sprites of this whole Avengers celebration and I hope they’re worth the wait.

All-new scratch-made sprites of the Incredible Hulk (classic) and Iron Man’s original Hulkbuster armor have been added to the Marvel custom sprites gallery and the GFX Generators.

5.) the Absorbing Man and Titania
4.) Black Widow, Black Widow, Wonder Man and Wonderman
3.) Nebula
2.) Iron Man Mk.1 and 2, Moonstone
1.) Ultron, Thor, Black Widow, Scarlet Witch, Wonder Man and many more

That wraps up this (almost) week-long Avengers celebration and I hope you comic fans enjoy the sprites, especially in the image generators. The whole Captain America and the Avengers beat ’em up cast is finally complete, though I know I’ll resprite some of those characters in the future. There will be more comic updates in the future, but it’s time for me to get back to the game-related content. In fact, you’ll see that in a small update this weekend. So soon? Yes. That soon.

He’s a magically-transforming career criminal who never changes his pants. She’s a former 98-pound weakling turned super-strong brickhouse with an outfit that’ll poke your eyes out. TOGETHER, THEY MAKE CRIMES.

Custom Sprites – Absorbing Man and Titania were added to the Marvel custom sprite gallery

Mini-Logos – Absorbing Man and Titania’s logos from comic covers have been added were added to the Marvel mini-logo page along wiht Thor’s original logo.

As always, the new items were added to the GFX Generators.

Here’s the earlier updates from the 2015 Avengers Assemble updates:
4.) Black Widow, Black Widow, Wonder Man and Wonderman
3.) Nebula
2.) Iron Man Mk.1 and 2, Moonstone
1.) Ultron, Thor, Black Widow, Scarlet Witch, Wonder Man and many more

One last mini-update drops tomorrow!

… is not gold, but most of this mini-update is!

Brand new sprites of Iron Man’s Mk. 1 and Mk. 2 armors and Moonstone (original outfit) have been added to the Marvel custom sprite gallery and the GFX Generators, where the Iron Man armors use the same palettes as the classic Capcom sprites (I added an all-iron palette for that Mk. 1 armor). Moonstone also got a mini-logo.

There will be a few more Avengers mini-updates this week because I spent most of yesterday drawing line work for sprites in this update a few you’ll see in future updates. I was at All-American Comics in Warren, Ohio during the Free Comic Book Day event and I was concentrating so hard that I didn’t notice the news cameras filming a piece about the event

You can see me at the :35 second mark wearing a gray hat and my Minus World Skull shirt. Now you know who the guy is who randomly pops up on the Shop index page. I didn’t realize they were right there until the filming was over and the cameraman was getting ready to leave. Always remember that the pixel mines struggle is real and the concentration of a Shaolin monk is needed to survive the rugged conditions. You’ll see more fruits of my in-store labor throughout this week!
